This business started because of my chronic illness. I had a high-level marketing job at one of the UKs most popular event brands, but my body couldn’t keep up with the lifestyle. At 27, with my ulcerative colitis flaring BAD, £0.30 to my name, and no choice but to move back in with my mum, I had to start again.
If I hadn’t moved home, though, I wouldn’t be here. It was actually my mum who suggested starting my own business. I charged £25 for my very first 1:1 consulting session, and since that first “invoice,” I’ve never looked back. Within a year, I matched my corporate salary.By 2024, I hit my first six-figure year… still with less than 5K Instagram followers.
I’m living proof that you don’t need a massive following to make a big impact (or big money).
